through the eye of binoculars
stars are not steady
they quiver minutely
as muscles in tired arms
and Cassiopeia
is taken apart:
each separate star
swimming towards you
into a small round sky
bobbing giddily before becoming quiet
like a young woman
in a distant city
crying
