Beauty breeds
Beauty breeds rainbows and tattoos of butterflies on the wings of life’s dreams
Scattered, gaping valleys
Sometimes I’ve drowned in the darkness of golden calls and silver linings
But breathing’s not been easy with blue ribbons and lace fields
So wrap life up in my belly, and let her fly free, a bird on spring trees
Then let your hands hold her like a glass ball, and mend all her brokenness if you please
Paint my walls yellow for the sunshine I’ll see tomorrow
And while you’re at it, give me the butterflies and dreams that beauty breeds.
