I am far away from home
and it is no different.

This city smells eroded. Even
its name has lost weight.

Accra,
All the anthills have been
washed back into the sea.

Rust eats my bones in search
of what will aid me in avoiding
displacement.

And yet the water still calls me
this time in the form of rain.
