Battleship
I’m carrying an army.
Women and men of honor
Soldiers of the cause
I’m carrying an army.
Kings and queens waiting to be born
Commanders and ministers
I’ll mother strong men.
If necessary I’ll father them too.
I will raise them like my daddy raised me,
To fear no man.
I’ll mother strong women.
If necessary I’ll father them too.
I will raise them like my mommy raised me,
To fear no man.
They’ll conquer the world, they’ll carry my word.
They’ll fight my wars, peacefully,
With words of music and love.

“The womb reminds me that I am capable of giving life and that life is in my hands. I cannot blame society for how it is if I do not raise children that will change it. So my womb is a reminder that everyone is born and everyone is made. That is the message in my poem. In order for change to occur, our children must be raised as kings and queens."
