How would you describe yourself as a reader and writer?
As a reader I would describe myself as lazy and diligent. As a writer I would I would describe myself as lazy and quick.
What kind of a poetry submission gets you excited?
Well, Claire, I truly know it’s poetry when, as Emily Dickinson said, “I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken…” Naw, I’m not going to go there. What gets me excited in a submission is a sense of routine discovery made suddenly (or not so suddenly) paramount, extra-ordinary.
What (writing-wise) are you currently working on? What do you do for fun?
I’m currently working on poems and reviews of books of poems, reviews of books of poems and poems. For fun I like dogs and music.
